Climate® Storm Blocks

Climate® Storm Blocks™ marks Climate’s first-ever retrofit structural reinforcement system. Developed to address the growing demand for stronger, more resilient homes, this system introduces a new standard in light-frame wood and off-site constructed panels for protection against extreme weather.

The precision-engineered Climate® Storm Blocks™ system is enabled by non-toxic, high-performance, elastomeric polyether Climate® Non-Slump (NS) Adhesive, creating a unified anchoring solution that delivers 200–300% more reinforcement than standard mechanical fasteners. This increase in structural integrity provides a more reliable connection between framing components such as truss-to-top plate and truss-to roof sheathing, as well as stud-to-shear wall and sill plate connection hardening, mitigating risk from seismic and high-wind events such as hurricanes and tornadoes.

In addition to its superior strength, Climate® Storm Blocks™ offer a cheaper, easier, and more reliable method for reinforcing residential structures compared to traditional reinforcement approaches. Achieve a 1-minute installation in three easy steps (1. adhere, 2. place/compress, and 3. screw via pre-drilled pilot hole - see Installation Instructions below).

With 1,300 pounds tensile strength per pair, each Climate® NS-adhered Storm Block is designed to transfer stress, absorb shock, and strengthen critical structural joints, significantly reducing vulnerability within key load-bearing areas. By distributing energy more effectively throughout the framing, the system minimizes failure points and enhances the overall durability of the structure.

Ideal for both retrofit but also new construction applications, Climate® Storm Blocks™ offer a streamlined, high-performance method to elevate building resilience. Their design supports long-term stability, simplifies reinforcement strategies, and integrates seamlessly into a variety of structural assemblies.

At its core, the Climate® Storm Blocks™ system reflects our belief that stronger connections build safer homes, and that inexpensive, engineered solutions are essential for protecting communities from the intensifying realities of extreme weather.
